Terms of Service
Clear scope. Fixed prices. No retainer traps. These terms govern every AdnanBuilds engagement — read them before we build together.
Overview & Agreement
◈These Terms of Service govern all engagements between AdnanBuilds (adnanbuilds.online), operated by Adnan, and any individual or entity ('Client', 'you') who commissions a service, accesses our website, subscribes to our newsletter, or otherwise engages with AdnanBuilds in any capacity.
These terms are written to be read — not buried. If you're a client, you should be able to read this in 10 minutes and know exactly what you're agreeing to. If anything is unclear, email adnan@adnanbuilds.online before signing a scope document. We'll clarify in plain English.
How Agreement Is Formed
By commissioning a project (verbally, via email, or by signing a scope document), subscribing to The Builder's Brief, booking a discovery call, or using adnanbuilds.online, you agree to these terms in full. The most recent version of these terms applies at all times — the effective date is listed in the header.
Effective Date
These Terms of Service are effective from January 1, 2026 and were last reviewed in April 2026. Material changes are communicated to active clients and newsletter subscribers at least 7 days before taking effect.
Services & Packages
⚡AdnanBuilds offers five fixed-scope service packages. Each package has a defined set of deliverables, a named timeline, and a fixed price. The exact deliverables for your engagement are specified in the written scope document you receive and approve before work begins.
| Package | Delivery Window |
|---|---|
| Catalyst Launchpad — ₹3,500 | Live within 6 hours of confirmed payment and brief |
| Omni-Channel Positioner — ₹40,000 | 7 calendar days from project kickoff |
| Enterprise Workflow Optimizer — ₹50K–₹70K | 8–10 calendar days from project kickoff |
| Founder's MVP LaunchKit — ₹80K–₹1.2L | 8–15 calendar days based on integration scope |
| Unicorn Trajectory — ₹80K–1.2L + ₹60K/mo | 8–15 days MVP + 3-month content retainer |
Scope Document
Every project begins with a written scope document outlining: deliverables, timeline, payment terms, revision rounds, and any specific exclusions. This document is the single source of truth for the engagement. Work does not begin until the scope is approved and initial payment is received.
Scope Changes
Any request that falls outside the agreed scope is treated as a new, separate engagement with its own quote and timeline. Mid-project scope additions will not delay the original delivery timeline unless explicitly agreed in writing. There are no verbal scope changes — all modifications require written confirmation from both parties.
Delivery means the agreed deliverable is live, functional, and handed over with all credentials, source files, and documentation as specified in the scope. For web projects, 'live' means deployed and accessible at the agreed domain. A project is considered delivered when you have access to everything you were promised.
Payment Terms
₹All payments are in Indian Rupees (INR) for Indian market clients. International clients may arrange USD payments at a transparently communicated rate. Pricing is as listed on adnanbuilds.online and in your scope document — there are no hidden fees, no late-disclosed charges, and no retainer traps (except the explicitly opt-in Unicorn Trajectory retainer).
Standard Payment Structure
For projects above ₹10,000: 50% upfront before work begins, 50% on delivery before credentials and source files are handed over. For the Catalyst Launchpad (₹3,500): full payment upfront given the 6-hour turnaround. All payment terms are stated in your scope document.
Payment Methods
Payments are processed via Razorpay (Indian clients) or Stripe (international clients). Both are PCI-DSS compliant. We never store card details. Bank transfers (NEFT/IMPS/UPI) are accepted for Indian clients — account details provided in your invoice.
Late Payment
If the final payment is not received within 5 business days of delivery, AdnanBuilds reserves the right to suspend access to delivered assets until payment is cleared. Projects will not be deployed or handed over until the full payment is received. For the Unicorn Trajectory monthly retainer, failure to pay within 7 days of the invoice date pauses content production until payment is made.
All invoices include a GST number where applicable. Invoices are issued via email within 24 hours of payment confirmation. If you require a specific invoice format for your accounting, inform us in writing before the project begins — we will accommodate reasonable requests.
Refunds & Cancellations
↺We build things fast and with care. Our refund policy reflects the reality of time and resource investment — but also the reality that we stand behind our work. Here are the exact conditions:
Before Work Begins
If you cancel after paying the upfront deposit but before the project kickoff, you receive a full refund of the upfront payment minus any third-party costs already incurred (e.g. domain registration, third-party API fees). Cancellation must be communicated in writing to adnan@adnanbuilds.online.
After Work Has Begun
Once work has started, the upfront payment is non-refundable — it compensates for time and resources already committed. If you cancel mid-project, you will receive all work completed to the point of cancellation delivered in its current state. No further payment is owed for work not yet performed.
After Delivery
If the delivered work materially fails to match the agreed scope (as documented in writing), we will fix it at no additional cost within the revision window. If we are unable to deliver what was scoped after good-faith revision attempts, a partial refund proportional to the undelivered work is issued. Refunds are not issued for preference changes, design taste differences, or new requirements that emerged after scope sign-off.
If AdnanBuilds cancels a project (which has happened zero times), you receive a full refund of all payments made, plus reasonable compensation for any third-party costs you incurred based on the project expectation. We take our commitments seriously.
Newsletter Subscriptions
The Builder's Brief is free. There is nothing to refund. Unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
Intellectual Property & Ownership
◇Upon receipt of full payment, all intellectual property rights for deliverables created specifically for your project transfer to you. You own the code, the design, the copy, and all assets produced as part of your engagement. No licence fees, no usage restrictions, no ongoing dependency on AdnanBuilds.
What You Own After Full Payment
All custom code written for your project. All design assets produced for your engagement. All written copy created as part of your deliverable. Full access to the repository, deployment environment, and all credentials. You may modify, redistribute, or commercialise the deliverable without restriction.
What AdnanBuilds Retains
AdnanBuilds retains the right to use open-source libraries, frameworks, and tools incorporated into your project (these remain under their respective open-source licences). AdnanBuilds retains the right to reference the project as a portfolio item and case study, subject to the consent conditions in Section 08 (Build-in-Public). We retain no licence or ongoing claim over anything produced specifically for your project.
Third-Party Assets
If your project incorporates third-party assets (stock photos, icon libraries, font licences, SaaS tools), it is your responsibility to maintain the appropriate licences for those assets ongoing. AdnanBuilds will identify all third-party components used in your project and provide documentation of their licence requirements at delivery.
- →Modify the delivered code without restriction
- →Hire other developers to extend the codebase
- →Commercialise the product in any way
- →Remove AdnanBuilds attribution from the product
- →Transfer ownership of the codebase to a third party
- →Claim AdnanBuilds work as your own original creation for resale as a template
- →Resell the exact delivered product as a white-label service without disclosure
- →Use AdnanBuilds brand assets, logo, or name without written authorisation
- →Represent that AdnanBuilds endorses your product beyond the project scope
Client Responsibilities
→A fast delivery requires fast collaboration. AdnanBuilds operates on compressed timelines — 6 hours to 15 days depending on the package. For these timelines to hold, clients must meet their side of the process. The following are your responsibilities as a client:
- →Provide a complete, accurate brief before work begins. Incomplete briefs that require multiple rounds of clarification extend the timeline — and that extension is not counted against AdnanBuilds' delivery commitment.
- →Respond to feedback requests within 1 business day during active production. For the Catalyst Launchpad (6-hour delivery), availability during the build window is required.
- →Provide all required assets (logos, copy, credentials, photography) by the agreed project kickoff date. Missing assets that block production extend the timeline accordingly.
- →Ensure all content, imagery, and copy you provide does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. AdnanBuilds bears no responsibility for legal issues arising from client-provided content.
- →Appoint a single primary point of contact for the project. Conflicting instructions from multiple stakeholders that require reconciliation extend the timeline.
- →Complete the final review and provide sign-off within 3 business days of delivery. After 3 business days without response, the project is considered accepted.
- →Pay invoices on time as specified in Section 03.
AdnanBuilds delivers on time when clients deliver on time. If client delays push the project past the named deadline, the original timeline is reset from the point at which all outstanding client inputs are received. We will communicate any such reset in writing immediately.
Revisions & Feedback
↻Every package includes a defined number of revision rounds. A revision round is a consolidated batch of feedback addressed in one pass — not an open-ended series of individual change requests. Here is how the revision process works:
| Package | Revision Policy |
|---|---|
| Catalyst Launchpad | 1 revision round included. Minor text/colour tweaks within 24 hours of delivery. |
| Omni-Channel Positioner | 2 revision rounds included. Each round addressed within 48 hours. |
| Enterprise Workflow Optimizer | 3 major revision rounds guaranteed. Each round addressed within 48–72 hours. |
| Founder's MVP LaunchKit | 2 revision rounds included. Complex changes may require scoped extension. |
| Unicorn Trajectory | MVP: 2 rounds. Content: 1 revision per content batch, 48-hour turnaround. |
What Counts as a Revision
Revisions cover adjustments to agreed deliverables — correcting something that doesn't match the scope, fixing a bug, adjusting copy or colours within the original design direction. Revisions do not cover new features, new pages, new functionality, or direction changes that contradict the original brief. These are new scope items quoted separately.
How to Submit Feedback
Feedback must be submitted in writing (email or a shared document) in a single, consolidated batch per revision round. Piecemeal feedback submitted over multiple messages across multiple days is batched into one round by AdnanBuilds. Verbal feedback is not actioned until confirmed in writing.
Additional revision rounds beyond the included allocation are available at a rate communicated in the original scope document. These are quoted and confirmed in writing before being actioned. There are no surprise charges — extra revision costs are always agreed before work proceeds.
Build-in-Public & Portfolio
⬡Building in public is a core part of how AdnanBuilds operates. Documenting real projects, real decisions, and real results is how we build authority and attract future clients. These terms define exactly when and how your project may be referenced publicly.
We will never publish, reference, or discuss your project publicly — on social media, in newsletters, in case studies, or anywhere else — without your explicit written consent. Consent is either part of the scope document you sign, or a separate written request we make after delivery. Silence is not consent.
Default Position (No Consent Given)
If you do not provide consent, your project is completely private. No mention of your business name, product, results, or any identifying detail will appear anywhere associated with AdnanBuilds. We will still document the build process anonymously (e.g. 'built an e-commerce app this week') without identifying you.
If Consent Is Given
With your written consent, AdnanBuilds may reference your project in: build-in-public threads and posts on X, Instagram, Threads, Reddit, and LinkedIn; The Builder's Brief newsletter; case study pages on adnanbuilds.online; and video content on YouTube. The specific details you consent to are listed in writing — we do not publish beyond what is explicitly agreed.
Revoking Consent
You can revoke consent at any time, even after giving it and even after content has been published. Email adnan@adnanbuilds.online with 'Revoke Case Study Consent' and we will remove all public references within 72 hours. No questions, no resistance.
Testimonials
If you voluntarily provide a testimonial (written or video), we may use it on adnanbuilds.online and social channels as agreed. You can request removal at any time — it will be taken down within 48 hours.
Confidentiality
◻Both parties may share confidential information in the course of a project engagement. Both parties are expected to treat it with discretion.
What AdnanBuilds Treats as Confidential
Everything you share in the context of a project engagement — business strategy, unreleased products, financial data, customer data, internal processes, credentials, and any information you mark as confidential — is treated as confidential by default. This information is used solely to deliver your project and is never shared with third parties.
Credentials & Access
Any login credentials, API keys, or system access you provide are used only for project delivery and stored securely in an AES-256 encrypted password manager. We strongly recommend revoking or rotating all credentials after project delivery. AdnanBuilds will never use your credentials to access your systems for any purpose beyond what was agreed.
What Is Not Confidential
Information that is publicly available, that you've explicitly approved for public use (see Section 08), or that AdnanBuilds developed independently without reference to your information is not subject to these confidentiality obligations.
If your engagement requires a formal Non-Disclosure Agreement, request this before the project begins. We will review and sign reasonable mutual NDAs for engagements above ₹40,000. Standard NDAs with no unusual clauses are signed without charge. Heavily negotiated legal documents may incur a review fee communicated upfront.
Warranties & Liability
⬢What AdnanBuilds Warrants
We warrant that: (a) deliverables will materially match the agreed written scope; (b) work is our original creation or properly licenced; (c) we will address bugs and defects in delivered work that arise within the maintenance window specified in your package (typically 2 months); and (d) we will be available and responsive during the active project period.
What AdnanBuilds Does Not Warrant
We do not warrant: specific business outcomes or revenue results from delivered products (results depend on your market, pricing, and execution); continued compatibility of delivered products with future third-party platform changes (e.g. Razorpay API updates, Google algorithm changes); or uninterrupted availability of third-party services used in your product.
AdnanBuilds' total liability in connection with any project is capped at the total amount you paid for that specific engagement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative losses — including lost profits, lost data beyond what was in our custody, or business interruption — except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Force Majeure
AdnanBuilds is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to: power outages, internet infrastructure failures, platform outages (GitHub, Vercel, AWS), natural disasters, or government-mandated restrictions. In such cases, we will communicate immediately and resume work at the earliest opportunity.
Prohibited Uses
◌AdnanBuilds reserves the right to refuse or terminate any engagement where the commissioned work would be used for purposes that are illegal, harmful, or contrary to our values. The following uses are prohibited:
- →Products designed to deceive, defraud, or harm users — including phishing sites, scam storefronts, fake review platforms, or any product with deliberate misrepresentation baked into its design.
- →Platforms facilitating illegal activity under Indian law or the laws of the client's jurisdiction — including unlicensed gambling, unlicensed financial products, or prohibited content distribution.
- →Products that collect or process personal data without proper user disclosure and consent mechanisms — including any product that violates DPDPA 2023 or GDPR requirements.
- →Platforms designed to spread misinformation, political propaganda, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour at scale.
- →Any product that targets minors with age-inappropriate content, exploitative monetisation, or data collection without parental consent.
- →Using AdnanBuilds-delivered code or assets as a template product for resale without disclosure — see Section 05 for IP terms.
- →Commissioning a project while misrepresenting the intended use — if the actual use differs materially from what was disclosed, AdnanBuilds reserves the right to terminate the engagement and retain payment for work already completed.
AdnanBuilds operates on values, not just contracts. We reserve the right to decline any project that conflicts with our ethics, even if it is technically legal. We will communicate any refusal promptly and refund any upfront payment if work has not yet begun.
Termination
→Termination by Client
You may terminate an engagement at any time by written notice to adnan@adnanbuilds.online. Upon termination: all work completed to that point is delivered in its current state within 2 business days; the upfront payment is non-refundable for work already in progress (see Section 04); no further payment is owed for work not yet performed; and all client-provided assets and credentials are returned or securely deleted within 7 days.
Termination by AdnanBuilds
AdnanBuilds may terminate an engagement if: payment obligations are not met after reasonable notice; the client engages in conduct that is abusive, threatening, or harassing; the project is discovered to be for a prohibited use (Section 11); or circumstances make completion impossible. In all cases, we will communicate the reason in writing and provide a fair account of work completed and any applicable refund.
Newsletter & Community
AdnanBuilds reserves the right to remove newsletter subscribers or social media followers who engage in spam, harassment, or coordinated abuse — without notice and without obligation to provide a reason.
Sections 05 (IP Ownership), 09 (Confidentiality), 10 (Warranties & Liability), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination of any engagement. Your rights over delivered IP and our confidentiality obligations do not expire when the project ends.
Governing Law & Disputes
⬡Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or from any project engagement with AdnanBuilds shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
Dispute Resolution — First Step
Before either party initiates formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by direct communication. Most disputes between AdnanBuilds and clients are resolved through honest conversation. Email adnan@adnanbuilds.online with a clear description of the issue. We commit to responding within 24 hours and to a resolution-focused conversation.
Arbitration
If direct resolution fails within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The arbitration shall be conducted in English. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding on both parties.
We have never needed to involve lawyers or arbitrators in any client dispute. We intend to keep it that way through clear scopes, honest communication, and fair dealings. This section exists for completeness — not because we expect to use it.
Changes to These Terms
↻These terms will be updated as AdnanBuilds evolves — new services, new legal requirements, or clearer language based on real client questions.
- →Material changes (new clauses, changed payment terms, new restrictions) will be communicated to active clients and newsletter subscribers via email at least 7 days before taking effect.
- →Minor changes (clarifying language, correcting errors, reorganising sections without changing meaning) are updated on this page without separate notification.
- →Continuing to use AdnanBuilds services after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
- →The effective date at the top of this page always reflects when the current version was last reviewed and published.
- →Previous versions of these terms are available on request — email adnan@adnanbuilds.online with 'Previous Terms Request'.
